HarmoKnee
Project Summary
HarmoKnee teaches users about the muscles responsible for flexing the knee as well as the contents of the popliteal fossa. The didactic app presents a 3D model of a knee joint with bones, muscles, and vessels that the user can click on to retrieve more information. Depending on the type of anatomical structure, a 2D animation can showcase the movement of the respective muscle selected or a 2D vector illustration will demonstrate the anatomical relationship of the structure to others.
Objectives (As Project Director)
Establish learning goals for interactive and create GDD.
Research muscles involved in knee flexion as well as the arteries, veins and nerves that course through the popliteal fossa.
Write summaries for each anatomical component that corresponded with the established learning goals.
Spearhead audio sourcing and implementation.
Oversee app production and overall team communication.
Watch game trailer below.
Know the names of the thigh and leg muscles involved in knee flexion.
Learn the shapes and sizes of the muscles as well as their relationships anatomically.
Identify the location of the popliteal fossa and recognize its structural boundaries.
Distinguish the contents of the popliteal fossa and their relation to one another.
Recognize the bones that serve as muscle attachments.
Understand the structural relationship between the vessels and the bones.
